VRP CL65 latest DYNO 700.35 RWHP

I just tested the production version of the VRP Intercooler package for the V12 BiTurbo. We picked up a bit of horsepower over the prototype versions I was running on my car last year. The torque was at 834 at the wheels due to the dyno operator starting the run at a higher rpm. When we achieved the 912 ft lb the run was started at 3000 rpm. This time the dyno operator started at 3500 rpm(the car kept downshifting). I think Victor is working on getting the graphs posted up. Here is the video.

Your worst nightmare...
Very nice numbers Marko!...me and Marcin have becomes such good buddies...you would be surprised how much he has helped me in these past few days with some issues I encountered with my cut outs. He sent me a glimpse of the dyno number. Can't hardly wait for my set up.

cutouts rob your cars performance. i know i have them on mine and had it dynoed to prove it.

You make the Most power when the the bypass is completely closed.

When you open it up you gain alittle bottom end TQ but you lose alot of HP uptop which isnt worth it.

But you cant beat the sounds it makes especially in that TT

wow. one would think exactly the opposite- you lose some bottom-end torque, but gain on the top end hp when you have cutouts. i have seen this on numerous drag cars.

your experience is an exception methinks.

Which car did oyu have it on? Could you please give a little more details? I am really itnerested in knowing others thoughts. I installed them, definitely lost a little at lower RPMs but when i open it up, it pulls like a freight train....

What type of car did you have? Thanks,

clk55 amg and s500. I know NA cars need backpressure but it must be different scenario on a TT car or superchargerd car.

I dynoed with exhaust open and exhust closed. Cars had more low end torque and up top they were losing hp with bypass open.

Closed was best Scenario.

I dont think it matters that much on a TT since turbos do there own scavenging.

Do you still have Secondary cats in ur car?

backpressure - some is good for low rpms (up to say 2500-3000 on a say 6k engine) and any is bad at higher rpms.
