2008 CL63 resonator delete??
#3
I removed the mufflers from my CLS and the car sounds like it should. It's not obnoxiously loud like a Mustang/Camaro, but At 1k-2k rpms it has a nice growl and when I accelerate it sounds awesome. There is no drone either.

Examine the resonators internally. If they are straight through, have the same internal size as the pipe into and of of them there is very little if any performance change to removing them. Often the exhaust note will become much less pleasing as they usually remove higher raspy-er sound frequencies. Better to remove or replace the other mufflers to gain a better/louder sound. Exhaust systems react the same as a trumpet or other wind instrument... changes will change the "note". Usually it is a try and see situation. There is a bunch of engineering and development time in the stock exhaust of any car especially high end performance vehicles such as AMGs.
