2003 CL55 Kompressor Horizon Blue Metallic
I don't know production numbers, but here goes -
In early 215 years (2000-2002), I would say that for CL/S/SL it isn't that much rarer than the other colors in the set of "not-black/not-silver" alternatives. As you go further (2003+) it starts to taper off to the point that there are only a handful of CL65's with the color.
The 2003 MB promo CL55 and the renntech promo CL55 were Horizon Blue. After that, the numbers start to fall off. I get tons of compliments on mine, but the renntech RS118's with 275 front/295 rear make a huge difference. I will simply say that I don't think the color makes as big of an impact with stock AMG rims.
If you like the color, find one, and have to have body work done on it - it's "chalcedonblau" to the rest of the word. I think Chalcedon Blau was something a German who vacations in the Mediterrean came up wih.

2004 CL55
mclarenm8d, how do you know all that? Do you know how rare my Designo Cashmere is? It gets complimented all the time too, but like you I also have the nice wide wheels so I'm sure that helps. I only saw one other CL with it, on the grapevine heading down I5 in California around New Years Eve '08, a CL65. The guy was driving sooooo slow with all those horsepower I couldn't believe it.
