Starting up issue with 2001 CL600
Hi there,
A fellow of mine asked me to post this question here, as he's not friendly with computers... When he cold starts the car, RPM's go to ~1800 than immediately back to under 1000 and pretty much stay like that no matter what, giving gas has no effect, until he turns off the engine. But, after a restart, everything is fine and normal, no issues. He thought it was something electrical, so he tried to use a charger, when cold starting the car - with charger, there is no issue, either. However, the battery is pretty much brand new.
What could this possibly be? I'd appreciate if somebody could point in the right direction.
