997TT (or C4S) vs CL65....
Was set on getting a used CL65 as a stablemate for my E63 but am having second thoughts. Would like some info from you guys if possible. I will certainly drive all those mentioned but just wanted some opinions in the meantime.
Would you guys go for a CL65 or a porsche? Not really planning on tracking the car, will be fun/personal driving toy. I do love comfort but just curious if having 2 AMGs is overkill. Other suggestions for fun cars is certainly welcomed. Price point is somewhere between 100 -130K.......

Consolidate to one car: a new, '10 S65 or CL65 (hard to ever drive an under-tq'd, plasticky 63 again once addicted to 65 tq, more elegant interior leather and cf, and advanced tech of '10 S/CL platform)
Had a 997TT at launch (and 996TTS and 997S further back)....I miss 997TT's superb steering precision and amazing brake pedal feel (PCCB)...but don't miss its effeminate Prius Turbo exhaust note, awful turbo lag, Luddite gearbox and poorly sorted PASM damping/stability (on bumpy stretches of fast fwys or twisties)
I drive my car for both daily urban commuting and wkend mtn twisties for 10-15K mis/yr...and greatly prefer my '09 CL65 overall vs any perf car I've ever driven (incl 997GT2, 599 and SL63 030/65)
Would observe that '10 CL65 won't have all the tech updates of '10 S65 (will just have new telematics but none of the new chassis dynamics/safety tech of '10 S65); sounds like '11 S65 Coupe (new nomenclature) will launch in 1Q10 w/all the new tech (and perhaps a few more tech updates like ceramic brakes)

06 CLS55 AMG & 08 CL65 Mystic White
I have had a CLS55 for 3 years and now own an 08 CL65 as the stable mate. Two completely different cars and rides. I love having the V8 and V12 option and what better price point to find it then Mercedes. Plus, you can find an 08 CL65 in the price range you mentioned.
Good luck!

Nissan Gt-R. CL65 or ....nothing else buy say a ZR1
Porsches are for yuppies and they r old school style ... Nice cars though but lack
original tastes. Everybody owns one
The CL65 is top dog comfort
The Zr1 and GTR are great machines and I would take them over any Porsche period
