Most of the time my E55 or SL65 sees in Tampa is either doing a flyby past MB of Tampa to get to C2Design or dropping off my wife at International Mall or Westshore Mall...

No offense taken...I was just making the point that sometimes I feel like I'm an old fart that would rather stay at home and work on the car. I didn't think I sounded that way...it was more of a playful response. Cheers...

i know,i was just trying to make sure you know i have respect for my elders..as i'm 25 ,i don't want to sound disrespectful..
anyways ,back to our discussion,a month back,my a/c compressor locked on the car,i called MB dealership in Columbus Ohio, they quoted me 2700 dollars for the job, called their part department and they quoted me 950 for the compressor and claimed it was coming from Germany...the compressor is branded DENSO ( made in japan..lol)..so just there, their service departmen made 1800 on labor .so i called autozone and got the same OEM part for 300 dollars, there MB made 600+ on the part..totaling 2400 profit!!!the whole job cost me 500 parts and labor at an independant MB shop..they have to do it to stay in business with all the overhead they have..but to a consumer,it is just outraging!!!
