need help urgently, which way for lowering links, please

Hi can anyone please help me. I am lowering my car using the washer method and modified the rear oem links (made them shorter than stock). Oops my car is a w215 CL. Can someone please please tell me which way the sensor arm should be facing on the rear. Should the ABC sensor arm face towards the wheel when the link is attached or should it face the diff ? please, any help would be greatly appreciated, im pulling my hair out now.

Should it be like this ?

I found this pic on this forum, in this pic the CL shows the rear sensor arm facing the hub. Is this the correct way or should it face the diff ?? im confused.

Arghh, ok before I tried these links out I had no ABC warnings of any kind. After fitting the links I was getting the white ABC warning light at 30mph. I am now getting the red ABC Car Too Low warning for a couple of seconds and then it clears, the car is not too low and sitting with a 2 finger gap all-round. Can someone please help me ? Oxygen where are you ?

OK I officially give up. I have tried everything now, returned links to stock, removed washers, driven the car to help settle the suspension etc, but where I was just getting the white abc warning before and intermittent red Car Too Low warning, the car now just jumps straight to Stop ABC Car Too Low, but the car is not to low, infact its probably a little higher than it was before I started. Looks like a trip to the man with the Star ......
