Who would be the best ECU tune?

I used powerchips but I see others advertised their tunes for 25% the cost? Which company is reliable and cheap? Thanks.

I had Renntech do the ecu. It's been over a year and about 8000 mi. Very pleased. My dealer did it and charged $3200 warantee intact, They got a discount from Renntech because the price is less than Renntech will sell for on a direct basis.

This place can do it and they are a lot cheaper.

My take on ECU mods is this:

Brabus/Renntech/other expensive tuners programs are not better than the low cost ones done by folks like Singh since they are all controlling same variables and the code has been cracked on those, it's not rocket science. Now, someone can really screw up your car with the wrong program, that's certainly a possibility.

Does anyone have any definite information on what variables are the ECU programs modify, what are the differences between tuners, etc?

I used Jerry at Eurocharged! Been great people to deal with.. Huge point for me,, is that they always can be reached and answer questions..

I make 525 RWHP and 595 Ft lbs of TQ to the rear wheels and still have bone stock Exhaust.. Car drives great and my air fule ratio is in very safe operating range.. Very safe!

No, I don't have figures.

The Renntech tune does not void the warantee. I see that you and the other posters have older cars so maybe that doesn't matter to you.

I have a Custom Rennteche tune and Im pretty happy with it. It seem that you cant beat the LET tune for the price and power you get.

Do you have a chart numbers? What is the price? I emailed 'tracyr' on the website but it bounced back saying that email didn't exist.
