Can Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors be repaired or only replaced?
Apparently the TPMS have gone out in my CL55, and I would prefer fixing them instead of replacing them, is this my only choice, instead of hitting the R button every time I drive the dang car. I understand spending a little money here and there on things, but can't I just check the air every oil change like i've done forever. Thanks everyone.
Oh, and has anyone ever been scammed buying sensors off e-bay? Even if they are new, won't the batteries have died from just sitting on the shelves?

I have never heard of a way to "change the batteries" in them although it would be nice because it would save you quite a chunk of change. I was leery of buying used ones on Ebay for that very reason - maybe they would arrive with say 20% battery life. Just ended up buying four new ones from MB. Should be good for another 4-5 years.
