The stock I/C Bosch pump is pretty lousy. Numerous 55K and V12TT owners have had failed I/C pumps (including myself). The "upgrade" is not for overall performance improvement....but actually for improved dependability. When the stock IC pump goes (it is a "when" rather than "if"), your IATs (intake air temperatures) soar and the cooling fluid is not moving from the heat exchanger to the intercooler cores. This causes the computer to pull timing and boost. Going to an aftermarket IC pump (i.e. Johnson CM30) helps ensure that your V12TT is on its game and not limping around...

I bought mine from LET Motorsports. You will also want the MB tech who installs it to set the pump to run all the time while the ignition is on.
