I wonder what the BMW 6.0-litres engine will produce when u put a compressor/turbo on it....
Alpina put a compressor on the 4.47l E65 7-series.... now has about 460hp i believe and 650Nm.... If they do that to the 6litre, they'll probably baet MB i reckon...
what about u guys?
that V12 BiTurbo badge does it all!! Very NICE!!!

In terms of "beating MB", there are many different aspects to a car other than performance.

Im sure BMW COULD supercharge/turbocharge any of their engines and could end up with pretty impressive numbers but from what ive been hearing they are appalled at the ideas and look down on it.

I don't believe that's already been confirmed by BMW is it?
I wouldn't mind that anyways...
But the engines with a turbo DO feel different to NA motor... The NA motor is more 'crispy' or so.. don't know how to put it in English..
anyways.. Let's wait and see how the new M5 engine will be...
If you find the current Mercedes CL range a bit weak, your prayers have been answered with the mother of all Mercs unveiled at Geneva. That's because some bright spark reckoned that what the market needs is a twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 engine, which promises to put quite a few supercars in the shade.
The CL65 AMG will storm from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds or so, while the top speed is limited to 155mph. Take the electronic nanny away and 200mph would be within reach.
The reason for the car's barking mad performance is the 612bhp under the bonnet, with a frankly ridiculous 737lb ft of torque available from just 2000 rpm.
The powerplant is based on the V12 unit seen in the S600, but with an increase in capacity from 5513cc to 5980cc, thanks to an increase in the cylinder bore from 82mm to 82.6mm, and a 6mm longer stroke to 93mm. The AMG boffins have also increased the charge pressure of the turbochargers to a maximum of 1.5 bar and for good measure they've thrown forged pistons and trick main and big-end bearings into the mix. But it seems that wasn't enough because they've also enlarged the apertures in the injection nozzles to achieve a higher fuel flow.
Power is transferred by a five-speed automatic transmission with a steering-wheel gearshift as well as the standard transmission tunnel-mounted gearshift.

enjoy!!!
