2003 CL55 AMG - ABC problem

I have a 03 cl55 amg and my ABC is on. I have drove it like that for about a month UNTIL i drove it to the dealer in Scottsdale Arizona to get an estimate and see what it needs to be fixed. They have put the car on the lift and when they put it down on the floor all the Pressure what i had left it was gone. They barely took it out from the lift because it was too low. They told me that it cost me $4,100.00 + TAX to get it fix or to call a towing company and move my car from their dealer.

Now my problem is. Where i can find a cheaper POWER STEERING PUMP (Tandem Pump)??? Does anybody knows? I found them for around $1,200.00. I would like to shop a little more and maybe i can save me some more $$$$. I just had this car for 1 month 1/2 and i didn't do my homework.

If anyone can help me out and give me few tips that would be very helpful. Thx.

The dealer told me that i need this part #

Part # 0034662401 Power Steering Pump (tandem Pump)

Part #2132001 Hydraulic fluid

Do as Mercedes22 said and then start with the less expensive option of trying to re-pressurize the system by adding the Part #2132001 Hydraulic fluid, as much as is needed. It may be all you require, if your fluid level in the ABC reservoir was depleted.

If you do need the pump, it's no use in being cheap now. Get it from the dealer and have them do the work, as it is a MBZ system and they will do it right.
