Oil dip stick help !!!!
The finger pull on the oil dipstick in my 2003 CL55 broke off. I cannot find a replacement oil dipstick anywhere on the internet for a 2003 CL55. Why is it so hard to find this part? I found one for a CL500 that is "almost" the same..., but not quite. It has about 3/16 of an inch more space on the marker between add oil and full. I can allow for that, but where can I find a CORRECT dipstick for the AMG CL55?

Your car shouldnt have a dipstick!!! It didnt come with one the oil level is checked through the instrument cluster.. They make a specail tool to measure the oil but there should just be a plug in that hole....

CL55 doesn't have a dipstick. It holds 8 qts of oil (about 1/2 qt less than that of a SL500 which is also M113 engine - I don't know why). When the oil is at the minumum level, the instrument cluster will ask you to add in a qt.

That's interesting. I never knew that. I know they dealer can always sell you one (same story with transmission dipstick) but I never thought it would come with the car from the factory as a standard equipment.
