Wrap Wrap Wrap
"Wrap yourself up before you catch a cold"
"Wrap that Christmas present so the receiver can tear the wrapping off" - personally, I never understood where the tradition of literally ripping the wrapping paper off a present came from. Have you no respect for the time of the person who carefully wrapped that present and gave it to you?
"Wrap your weiner before you catch a disease or worse, kids"
"Wrap up that body before you move it"... errr..
Anyway. (Single word sentence, is that allowed, professor?)
I was at the shop today thinking of what I could screw up, when I saw a bunch of DEI header wrap "tape" and thought to myself "Hmmm".
I popped the hood, took out the air boxes, and started wrapping. I didn't want to get too detailed, so I only wrapped the intake tubes and the turbocharger compressor tubes. If I see my IAT's going down a bit, I may pull the boxes again and completely cover the sides and maybe even the top.
Total time invested, about 30 minutes. Will datalog IAT's and see if they go down any. Personally, I'm not holding my breath.
I know, I know, the engine is dirty. And the coolant isn't leaking, I popped it to check the level (might as well check fluids and engine in general since the hood is open), but the reservior still had a little pressure on it.

My next step will be the intercooler pipes. But first I want to see if IAT's drop at all before I tear into the Intercoolers. Bleeding those things is a pain in the ****.
