03 CL55 battery Draining

I recently had the cd player swapped out, it worked fine for two days and my comand went out completely(no navi, cd, radio, nothin), just black screen and won't even turn on... Another problem that came with this is that, if i park my car for 3 days, the battery dies completely to a point where alarm won't even work. Can a dead comand drain battery or is this completely un-related? *scratching head...

It could be the battery itself. Do you know how old it is? I had some of the same problems - Got my battery tested, found out it was fubar! Replaced it with a new one and everything went back to normal..

while i was browsing through this forum, i found out that if something is broken on the fiber optics loop, the entire fiber optics network will go dead which i think has happened me... Also found out that once something goes wrong on the fiber optics network, the loop does not shutdown properly and cycles, thus draining battery. How can i reset the fiber optics network? Is this something only can be done at the dealer?

I would consult the dealer. There is an article by George Murphy in the July/August THE STAR about just this issue. His fiber optic system was compromised by the new CD player, so it did not work.
