The trunk opening mechanism is also hydraulic and is prone to failure. If you also include the pneumatic systems, you have most of the unreliable parts of the car right there.

Ifari's point isn't that you need to beat the crap out of the car, it's that you need to drive it rather than keep it as a garage queen. From personal experience, I agree.
Exactly!

Poseurs like Oliver are the type of pussies I was referring to. He has to overcompensate for (ahem) shortcomings...

I mean, he is just the kind of stupid muffugga that makes me feel like a genius....if he can't see that the OP has a CL65 that is drag raced and has no problems.

Heck, I see Lotus Elises with small 1.8 ltr. motors whip Ferraris and Porsches on a track because the Lotus owners drive them for all they are worth and they have a lot of fun while doing it.

Some car owners know they can drive/race the way their cars were intended to be driven, while others wish they had the 'stones' or the funds to do it!

Enjoy.

Are you high or something?

How, pray tell, am I a *****? How am I over compensating?

So the OP drag races his car, and has no problems, and its good for the car. You obviously haven't been to many statistics classes or you'd realize that a sample size of N=1 is absolutely useless. In other words, the OPs post proves absolute dick.

I drive my porsche plenty hard and do track days when I can.

But I'm not dumb enough to think that driving a car hard is good for it in anyway.

So because people in lotuses drive harder or smarter than people in ferraris, that makes it good for the car.

Just admit that you don't know **** all about cars, and we can all go home, ok?

Btw, which is your race car?

Don't flatter yourself, because you are just like a flea on a dog's ballz to me.

I was banging gears in a Ferrari before your b*tch azz even knew how to drive and a punk like you couldn't even dream about beating me, much less joining me.

So you go and play in traffic with your Porker Skippy, since I know that on the track, a lil ol Lotus Elise will serve it up an extra large serving of whup-azz and shut your dumbazz up!

second was me beating a heavily modified Lightning....

oh and this car like all the other 65's I have owned has been PROBLEM FREE...

so far I have put 14k miles on this car with zero issues....

for all the folks out there knocking higher mile AMG's ...dont...the higher mile ones are PROBLEM FREE.....this car still smells new inside and rides and drives like a 20k car.....

how you like them apples....

am i the only one who noticed that the Porsche beat you

looks like you got 11.9 at 119.62 mph

and the Porsche got 11.85 at 120.11 mph

you just took off a little early and got to the finish line firts (but slower )

still those are some really REALLY fast runs!

I was there when he ran that car---fast car...cool guy

Yeah he got out of the light first.....Is is 100% stock I know that for sure
U snooze u lose...that 911 guy was lickin his own ***....but damn that car is quick...not to mention he has now I think like 95k miles on it with not a problem since he bought it he told me....He said he prefers higher mile cars
then lower ones because they have less issues...I bought a 80k mile CLS500 from him and I havent had one issue in the last year...he may be on too something
his car looks like a brand new car!!.i think he had like 75k miles on it when he got it.....
....I use the same mechanic... straight up the CL65 is a wet dream for those who want to outrun most exotics and still look good and bring your girl to the club at the same time........

I think the body of the last gen CL65 are one of the sexiest Mercedes ever built and the power is insane....... That is my next car or a CLS55....

Hi guys.

I've never drag raced before. I do track my other car.
My CL 65 is bone stock. It is my wife's car.
I put new Micheline PS2 on about 2 months ago, left pressure at 39PSI in the rear.

We went to PBIR yesterday and I thought I try, EPS left on, ABC on sport and turned of AC.
I only did one run and posted 12.03 @ 118 with 2 people in the car. Cool.
