Any One Interest in Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler for the W215?

Hi Neal. was on the web this morning and checking out other spoiler option for the group buy. i ran across Renntech website and they have the new w216 CL spoiler pictures up here on this link: http://news.renntechmercedes.com/201...-rear-spoiler/. i know that our older w215 CL trunk has a nice sharp line and you mention that we should not cover it. i agree!!!. if you look at the renntech it's flat and still looks very nice and i kinda like the thick base on the spoiler also. the spoiler looks very nice also if you guys have a chance to check out the link.

Well after getting the diffuser on I've been thinking about this CF spoiler instead of my white one.
I've been checking out what you guys are looking at and have a suggestion. What if you use the base like Neal has shown earlier and make the top portion like the Renntech but have the raised portion ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE TOP instead of a raised center section, like they did. It won't be as high as the Black Series and might need to add just a little more material than what Neal inital proposed. ( It would have more length, like the Renntech also)
Just my 2 cents, this might be a combination of both that everybody would agree too.

I see, thanks...I have a really good idea in my head. I wish i can show you what i mean better. But, it would be like the black series spoiler, but the bottom will stop on the trunk line of the CL trunk, and NOT fill up that little indentation/body line. So it all flows with the car very well and does not hide anything.

I also don't want this to take forever so lets give everyone a week to sign up and however many payments we have by say This Friday is how many we get made even though as Neal said it will be a bit more but at least we won't be waiting forever. I want mine on for this summer.... Is everyone on the list so far ok with this?

hopefully we can do a aggressive look like the BS design. instead of it wrapping around the trunk lid, it will sit like the lorinser on the trunk so we can still keep the CL trunk line. also can we all agree that the spoiler should at least be some what the same height as the BS or a little bigge(not to big) and should not be smaller cause it won't have that aggressive look to it. just my 2 cent.

i hope we can get 10 cause it's a bit cheaper but people seem to back out once payment is require. just look at the rear diffuser it took 3 try and 3 years later for neal to get it started and we were short a couple of people and thanks to you we were able to get 10 member. lets shoot for this friday(7/1) as dead line for the limited group buy. hopefully any member who question on how the spoiler would look when finish, just look at neal(euroteck) w215 CL c/f front lip and rear diffuser and you just have to trust his mad skills. And if you don't like it , trust me someone will buy it off your hand right away just like how many people pm/email me or my extra diffuser i had.

maybe you can work something out with neal. we all are hoping to get this done the sooner the better. i would think it would take neal as least the same amount of time for our diffuser(+/- 2 to 3 month).

Well, basiscally, i would not have the spoiler come down past this body line. So it would not fill in that gap. It would just wrap around and sit on that line, and not past it. Like the black series OEM spoiler, just thinner on the bottom side if that makes sense not to cover up past this red arrow.

Thanks! Since Ken is so very generous, and if we cannot get a 10th, this means we only need 3 more to make it happen.
Now, I hate to put the pressure on you guys. But I recently found out we will be taking on a very large contract to make a chassis (tub) for a formula car company. We will be starting on this sometime in July, and it will take up so much of our effort, time, and man power, we will actually be temporarily stopping to take customer orders during this time. Which may be about 2 months till we get the hard stuff out of the way. However, if we get this group buy done and in before that time, I will make sure it is not delayed. Plus I can get a really good price on a CL trunk now! so this is the time guys!!

Hey Neal, so I'll ask this question. You have provided us pricing for 5 and 10 units. We have enough confirmations for the 5, but not 10. Can you not begin the design and subsequent processes, and at the time of final manufacture we decide how many people we have? I suspect once folks start seeing your pictures, they'll sign up. If there eventually ends up being less than 10, we know what we have to pay. If we get to 10, that'll be great. Can we not start though?
