03 CL55 No radio or nav after changing battery

Guy's, I am trying to help my cousin, he has a 2003 CL55 AMG. The battery recently went dead. After changing the battery out, the radio and nav unit will not work at all. Does anyone have any ideas? I saw a post about a "Audio Gateway"
When you scroll thru the steering wheel, it says "AUDIO----"
