Bosch or NGK?

Do folks prefer Bosch or NGK platinum plugs for their 215 based CL55s?

Why? (My tech and another person in the know prefer the Bosch.)

The Bosch are not easy to obtain....

wrong question

the 55K's engine doesn't use platinium plugs.it's tuned by the factory with laser irridium spark plugs (NGK ILFR6A) with 0.8 mm electrode gap.
i don't think that BOSCH have such spark plug.

The Bosch plugs are platinum/iridium and we installed 16 of them yesterday.

The insulator is more substantial and my tech said the boot fits more positively than the NGKs.

Here is the part number reference finder at the bosch site

From now on I will replace them every two or three years.

The Bosch is a better fit for these cars or most European cars at that. But IMHO I think Ngk is a better quality plug than Bosch. Oem plugs aren't that bad but the Bosch multi prong you get at local parts stores are junk . Ngk longevity and quality is up there. Goodluck
