are they made in Germany by Mb or by a MB subsidiary?
Do they have the correct offset without spacers?
does the consequent wheel/tire combination exceed the unsprung weight of the stock AMG wheel and tire setup?
will they interfere with the ESP and abc systems?
If they are not AMG brand, are they made by an aftermarket tuner like Kleemann or a no name?
Do they rub?
Save your money for maintenance.

Anyway, I am in no mean disrespect but it sounds like you are on a budget. You should probably stay with the OEM (they are very nice wheels).
Going with bigger wheels also means that you will have to lower your car at some point (it is not a must but your car will look like a truck with bigger wheels if not lowered). Lower car means much faster tires wear (unless you get the proper camber kits) ... etc. ... you see where I am going? Next thing you know, your $1500 will turn into more than double easily.
Note that if you don't have warranty for this car, you should save that $1500 for repairs should it come up.
Having said that, I am willing to go homeless to treat the car nicely so I understand how you feel.
Welcome to MBW. Any pics of your car?
Here is a black wheels with chrome lips
Watch out for used good brand name wheels in the sale section. You can get a nice set of DPE and/or HRE (wheels only) for around $2500 or less there. Good luck.
