I have found that the systems aren't that bad at all, it's just too frick'n hard to learn the quickest way around. Seems like there are a lot of shortcuts they don't tell you about. I keep finding them by accident. The buttons all have multiple functions, and sometimes if you hit them twice, you will get a surprise.

One big one is that the phone pad goes to sections of the phone menu, so that you don't have to scroll through. And you have to hit the Audio button twice to get more choices. And the diagonal button gets you to the OK choice quick. And I renamed by favorite phone contacts with an A- before their first name so they all come up first. That also makes it easy to use the phone from the steering wheel controls only, so you don't have to leave navigation. Can't remember anything else right now, but I have been surprised several more times. I remember there are some easy ways to find locations in the navigation. Don't remember the specifics right now. It kind of has a "what's here" function when you move the target to an area.

When something breaks, doesn't work, or you try to install it, messing with the fiber system is a pain. If one component breaks, it disrupts the chain and everything stops working correctly. This is why no one uses ring networking anymore, it's all hub based like ethernet. Compounding that, if you bend the fiber too much, it cracks and you get intermittent issues.
