In my quest to improve the ride quality of my CL600 I've learned that the CL55 and the CL600 share -all- the same suspension components -and- the same ABC programming.
Since both come standard with 18s and everything else is apparently the same, I'd conclude they'd ride the same.
Only potential difference I can think of would be in the seats, if any.

It's amazing in every way -other- than:
- Traction limited due to not having a limited slip differential
- Nav system is somewhat outdated compared to my wife's Lexus
- Doors snag when opening because the windows don't lower quick enough (somehow my M3 ragtop manages, so its not impossible)
- A twin turbo with no boost gauge? Mein Gott!
...and my biggest gripe of all...
Ride is too harsh for a grand touring car. As I mentioned, I have an M3 as well so I like a stiff suspenion, but for the purposes I bought the CL for its fatiguing.
When the turbos hit 14psi however, all is forgiven :-)

I was on list to recieve an E55 but I have had a change of heart...... and an increase in income
I still have to drive one, and I really dont need a sedan, and the thought of having the true fastsest mercedes made is exciting.

Which is the fastest in your opinion? I thought the E55 would be faster than the CL55/CL600 due to the lighter weight, or is the drop in horsepower enough to make it slower?
I drove an S55 a couple of days ago, and its was noticeable slower than the CL600 (yeah, I know what seat of the pants measurements are worth, but it sure seemed slower). I've never driven the CL55, though.

My opinion is that the cl600 should be the fastest, take it to thr track for me to see what times it will post
...Iam a drag racing fanatic, I plan to RENNtech the CL600, and I think relative to Treynors results and what I have found talking to Bob Brady is that the faster of the two is the CL600. RENNtech CL600 with ECU upgrade against an E55 with ECU and pulley upgrade, the CL600 should be faster....just my opinion.
