Maxims scanner ?

I have a neighbor who's friend has a shop which works on mostly Mercedes. I asked him to find out what scanner he uses. Maxidas is the scanner, anyone here have any suggestions besides the factory units.

Interesting. This looks potentially cheaper and easier than the Mercedes STAR diagnostic system (SDS). What all can it do? I have Carsoft with the multiplexer, but it's not been very helpful for me.

The shop which bought my spare engine & transmission told me I need a star 3 system for the 65. He's going to send me a link, I'll pass it on.

The Maxidas system appears to be a scanner type system only. It will not preform most of the adaptations that Mercedes DAS does.

I agree, . Owning a 65 means star systems.

This scanner was recommended by a MB repair shop owner. I am going to get one tomorrow. Seems well worth the price. That like 1 hour labor at the dealer It does help to know how to interpret the data but that's something I know a bit about.

That is a decent deal for a MB MUX system. Let us know how it turns out please and if the MUX, cables, etc. are actual Mercedes items or knock offs.

Irregardless, if the system works as described it will do everything the official MB DAS will including all actuations/adaptations.
