My CL65 is slow as well. If you wish to shift at 5k you need to plan ahead. Its an old school electric auto transmission, (so to speak) not a formula 1. Just like the guy who won the Moscow unlimited, he drove a 911 turbo with an automatic. He said he needed to shift some 700 rpm below red-line because the system had a big lag.

That's what I did they past / copied for another forum again I dont really know how that can help

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

The MB Automatic transmissions are nowhere near as quick as the BMW SMGs. Those SMGs really feel like a manual transmission and shifts instantly whereas with the MB shifting there's always going to be some noticeable lag.

Thanks for the instructions for a reset!
