I wish the CL's had this to make it look less dated

Just like the W211 E55s, good looking cars, but have a little bit of a dated feel to them. Get a and/or put a W211 E63 front end, and the car just feels much newer, modern. It's rounded in the front of the 55s, where as the 63s are more aggressive, pointed like a missile. That's what the W215 CL's need. In the middle of the front bumper to get more shape and definition. This would give the car a more sporty look. It would do everything that the E63 conversion does for a 55, and that speaks for itself when you see before/after pics.
Would anyone be interested in getting a company to make a more aggressive "Conversion" style front bumper? Maybe even put a bit of a tilt/point to the grill to make it flow?? I'd love if there could be some interest. I wonder what my shop would do about trying to make that look.

I'm so convinced how much better the CL AMGs would look with the freshen up in the style of the 63.

Agreed, The CL65 or CL55 front bumper is not bad at all. I think that if they had a conversion it would look great. Put a front lower lip on it and you are all set.

not dated and the style is becoming more exotic

based on where Benz is going now-- on contrary the CL65's of 2005-2006 look very cool and each passing year they seem to become more and more noticable and exotic.

The more I am out in my car the more I get compliments and looks and it seems to be progressing - this mainly because the CL65 is a wide body car and just looks very cool and the newer CL class is mundane in terms of modern looking cars.

Basically as one onlooker put it

"You dont see that body style anymore and it really stands out now..badass"

The small grill, the rounded front bumper and the taillights are what kill the CL looks for me. The tail lights look like they're from 1985.

That being said, I much prefer the 05-05 CL to the newer ones. The round lights in the front separate it from other coupes on the road and give it an elegant look.

Mercedes have never made a better coupe IMO, as mentioned as time goes by it will become a Classic. The only one that comes close is the 560SEC and as the 55 replaced the SEC i am slightly biased.
