Help Remove Fron Bumper

Hello all,

I need help remove the front bumper to a 2005 CL65, because I failed to pay attention to the huge suburban parking in my driveway in bright dayl light and ran into it. The good thing is, only the passenger headlight was pushed in. The bad thing is, I need to remove the entire headlight assembly to find out what wrong and repair the damage. To do so I must remove the front bumper. Please lend me advices on how to tackle this problem. Thanks all

Remove the front grill. It is held in place by couple bolts. Remove the lower center grille and remove a couple screws there too. Remove the temp sensor (it slides out). Remove both front wheels and remove a couple bolts on both sides to remove the front plastic underfenders. Remove screws from the bottom where the fender attaches to front underbody panels. Next pay attention to how the bumper is attached to the front fenders. Use a flashlight. There s a lever that you have to pull out on each side and the bumper will slide forward. The levers are about 5" long and hug the fender and the bumper rails as well as have a wedging mechanism to keep the sandwich tight (you will see what I am talking about- it is kind of self- explanatory once you lay your eyes on it)

Use common sense and tug on the bumper as you remove the bolts to find the other bolts.

It is not complicated, but take your time. The sliders with levers are tricky the first time as they will be a bit stuck. If the bumper is not coming out and the levers are free to move- don't force it, but look for more screws you have missed.
