Exclamation Is there a way to change the harshness of downshifting? Auto-blipping?

Took the car for a nice drive today on a tight road with good corners and set it in manual mode, and used the steeringwheel mounted shifting buttons.

First time I got to enjoy the ABC system, it really makes cornering feel great!

I did not enjoy the downshifting however. Even at 35mph for example, in 3rd gear, if I downshift to 2nd, it feels abnormally harsh, and there is no rev matching or blipping or anything as found on more modern cars.

If I hit the gas and manually click down a gear, it smooths it out, but it's not practical to hit the gas in alot of circumstances when desiring to change down.

Any way to fix this? Transmission tuning module or something? I really have no idea what's out there.. I've seen eurocharged tunes and trans tunes, but my call to them went un-returned so far, so I'm not sure what those would do for me.. Seems like that's more focused in firming up the shifts, and making things even quicker.

How do you guys feel about the downshifting in our cars?

Yeah, you are right.. S mode seems to downshift smooth enough, but I was hoping for a better feel in manual mode. Wondering if anyone makes a transmission program better suited for spirited "manual" mode driving that blips the throttle when you press the downshift button. That would be so cool!

the downshifts should not be harsh.

your transmission needs to be read and pressures adjusted/ calibrated via das if needed.
