bone head fuse blow DRL
I was installing a pair of LED bulbs in the headlight area of my 2005 CL65 and blew the darn fuse in the process (bone head part). The bulb is the peanut size one ya have to pull real hard to remove. I am sure I can find the fuse but god knows there are a lot of them in this car. Can someone point me in the general area ? I checked all the ones under the hood with a test light and they are ether not powered with the lights on or just not the correct one. I am thinking its in one of the other 400 electrical centers located in this car

Just realized / remembered this is a Benz and computers are in play. I assume it's looking for a programed signal and If it doesn't get that it will power down. These are remarkable machines, the car knows there's something a skew with my right drl. Love this car and it's miles of circuits ! I'm going to need something to keep the computer happy. Well what's the difference between my LED and the peanut bulb ? Amperage draw ? Maybe it needs to see more ? I'll try that next.

Its a far cry from the old Porsche electrical system. I worked for Chevrolet for 30 years as a tune up and driveability specialist and we had injector drivers that would be programed like this. One would shut down one injector and the engine would run smoother. That was before sequential system were common. My Porsche had wind up windows
