door latch / driver side
I just finished installing a door latch Assembly on my driver door. I paid more for the latch than it cost to rebuild my Ford Focus (spare car) engine. I mean completely rebuilt head, pistons, rings, rods, bearings, timing belt and water pump, spark plugs, oil, coolant, gasket set.
Well about the same.
I am impressed with the build quality of this car more and more. I think there are more parts in the 65s door then in the Focus engine.
If anyone is doing one all I can say is don't expect it to install it-self and put your hammers away.. LOL. You have to remove most everything to do it correctly but you don't need to remove any rivets.

These cars are much different than others I have owned. First the cost of parts but more than that, when doing a job where you remove nice beautiful parts which are to me priceless theres no room for mistakes. Removing door molding and screwing up just like a supper model with a black eye. I was more concerned with braking , scratching or tearing things.
Got lucky, everything fit back great !
