Sunday's New York Times (TODAYS) has a Cl55 with 2000 miles for an asking price of $103K, I believe. Scary how these cars are dropping. There are 5 of them at the House of Imports in OC, CA too.

2003 CL55
The Boston Globe has several available with very low mileage, but asking prices are around $115k. At $103 the NYT car, assuming no accidents or other problems, is a steal. The CL55 even at MSRP is one of the best value-to-performance/design vehicles available. The car has supercar performance and is a satisfying daily driver. Yesterday I saw a friend at a social gathering and after driving my car, he decided to cancel his order for an SL600 and buy the CL55.

Part of the problem here is that AMG started to produce a boat load (literally) of all AMG vehicles. In the past (Circa 2001-2002) getting a AMG was harder than hell. Now, dealers have them in their inventories just like they were any other model.

2003 CL55
The only information that I have seen on the number of 2003 CL55's for the US is 500 and that was in the recent Motor Trend article. 500 seems low to me (at an average of 10 per state per year), but I have seen only a couple of 03 CL55's in the Boston area this year. I do not know how that number, if it is close, compares to 2002 or 2001 CL55's.
