Cl600 to read 220mph like cl65
Ok, I'm in the market for one of these vehicles. I figured the cl65 was a bit overpriced but I've heard that with a simple tune on a cl600 it's much faster than a cl65. The thing to kills me is that it reads 160mph on the odometer. Considering its computerized how much of an issue is it to read 220mph like its slightly faster counterpart? Should I just buy a cl65 for all this. I currently own a 2010 m6 and am currently in the market for one of these vehicles and going down from 200mph on the dash to 160 gives me that "meh" feeling

Do you plan to go above 160? You're basing thousands of dollars difference between cars on the speedo? I'm sure you could find a dash cluster to swap.

I was in the same boat as you when I purchased my CL600. I didn't see the need to get the CL65 because I knew I would chip either one and the CL600 with a tune is plenty fast for the streets. I'm guessing my car runs in the mid 11's with just the ECU/TCU tune from Speedriven. Another thing that pushed me away from the CL65 was the cost of brake maintenance vs the CL600's. Overall I wouldn't have done it differently if I could go back.
