2013 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG against the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 on this episode of Head 2 Head, While both brands are synonymous with luxury, underneath their hoods lies some seriously massive hand built V-12 engines. Dynamic testing & mountain roads await as we find out which is the better super coupe for the modestly wealthy.

Good video, thanks for posting.
After owning a 05 cl65 and currently a 05 db9, I can truly say the 65 is in a category of its own. not too many cars will bring a grin to your face as your overtaking someone on the highway or embarasing a ferrari or lambo. The db9 however(much slower) is a driving experience. Not to many cars on the street can rival it looks or attract as much attention

Interesting.... I think that was the 1st US magazine instrumented test of the W216 CL65 (0-60: 4.1 and 1/4 mile: 12.3 @ 118.4 mph). The W215 CL65 tested previously by Motor Trend did 0-60: 3.8 and 11.8 @ 120.9 mph. The extra 300lbs of the W216 definitely shows.

This is just my opinion, but I never liked how Aston Martins looked....ever. I think they are so boring looking, especially the rear. They look like they would be slow.
Again, just my opinion.
