Dyno Numbers

Has anyone had their W216 CL65 on the dyno? If so, which machine and what were the numbers? Thanks.

It shouldn't make a difference... Its the same motor... 1/4 mile times may be slightly different due to weight. Just get a tune and drag radials doubt there are many if any 216s running the 1/4. Sorry no help with numbers.

I was leaning in this (same motor) direction but wasn't quite sure.
Thanks for the confirmation.Yeah.....I tried running it without the drags but couldn't get any traction at all.

I know.......... My first time without drag radials, my best 60 ft was 1.89 with the stock 19" tires and wheels. The common drag radial setup is 265/40/18. You may want to confirm if 18's clear the rear rotors on the w216 if you consider a similar setup. The taller sidewall helps to flex off the line. Under that same logic, you must have even a harder time with 20" wheels and what a 30 series tire? The tune alone really makes the car a lot more fun. I've had the car for 4yrs and a tune for 3yrs....... well worth it.

Tires are 275/35/20. Which tune did you go with? ECU andTCU?

Almost the same 275/35/19...I have a Eurocharged ECU/TCU. Also their supplemental H/E. For a while many people would say that the TCU didn't do much on the 65s but I felt a big difference with the same tune. Once the torque limits were removed from the TCU, the ECU was able to make more power and deliver all the torque. I'm sure it all comes at a cost and will most likely shorten the tranny life, but in the meantime it makes me smile.
