Depreciation

A bank informed that my '08 CL65 with 38,000 miles, in excellent condition is worth $52,000 or $59,000....I forgot which.

Is this wholesale?

The age old saying: "Its worth what someone is willing to pay". Here are some listings with prices all over the place. I think towards the bottom realistic prices are in the mid $70s with roughly the same miles. So I'd agree the numbers the bank told you seem more like wholesale prices. Maybe someone can provide Manhiem auction prices to give you a better idea. Also when the new CL or S coupe arrives the price may take a bigger dip for all of those who want the latest and greatest as opposed to an older body style.

I agree that the value will dip a lot more when the new model arrives. I quoted a couple of blue book figures and was told the they nor car dealers use the blue book because the prices quoted are "to high."
