I'm trying to obtain a full service history of my car. I called a couple of dealers and was told they are not able to get me the info because the car wasn't serviced there and due to privacy issues. Sounds like BS to me. Is there another way? How can I track where the car was purchased and serviced at? Just want to see what all was replaced under warranty in the past.

while "FAR" from perfect, if you look at the carfax on the car you can sometimes get a good idea of what dealerships performed at least "some" service on the car......some cars end up with better records than others but at least a starting point
