Dont seem to be a big interest in this Project but I add these "blury" pics I took with my phone anyway. I will take better ones with a good camera when the car is done.

Hi Chris. Looks relay nice Chris. Why don't you think that we are not interested in the progress of your CL65?
I like the discussion around your choice of rims.
I looked at your other project,the S550.
You change the color of the interial. Is that expensive?
As you perhaps remember I have a SL500 2002.
Is it possible to buy new seat covers in light tan?

Glad to see you here as well. I guess I got a Little spoiled on my S550 Project that was had MANY coments and listings but i guess it is because so few have the w216 and that also means few members here with it.
Sure you can. Changing the seat covers is a super easy jobb and makes a huge difference in a all black interior.

Thats exactly it Chris. There is one CL owner for every 30 S-Class owners. Im checking up on this thread everyday. Love the build and getting inspired to do the conversion my self, all though i really do love the pre-face lift front end too.

I must do it a bit personal and special. When I am done with this I am pretty sure I will go for the interior as well. I just cant leave it like it is when my favorite is black/tan ..

Perhaps this is a rude question, but I can't imagine it isn't the question everyone would like to know the answer to:
How much will this have cost you, all said and done (not including new wheels)? The total for the entire conversion, interior changes and all.
I may be wrong, but I imagine it being less expensive to just upgrade to a more recent model. No?
If you do not want to answer for any reason, I would not take it personally.
Thank you!

This conversion of front, mirrors and rear parts is about $10000 inc paint.

OH..I didnt mean to post them here but ok...
Thought you had a thread.
Man that interior I MUST HAVE....Darn it is low..It must be super hard to drive. I thought mine was hard with what I lowered it..
Real nice with the DRLs. It do so much to make it look a bit updated.

I've personally priced all the parts out on eBay and with paint and labor it's not as much as I though it would be. I've spent more on a set of HREs.

The designo white on white is the color combo has always been my dream combo. I think the designo white interior (actually more like very light cream) is the best interior color Mercedes had/has.
Believe it or not it's not hard to drive at all. Just need to lift it when I go in and out of angled driveways and parking lots.
Yes I used the DRLs from a g63. All wired in correctly to work like the factory ones would. I do agree, it gives it that newer look.
