i've diagnosed my trunk lock problem. every function works except for the metal key engaging, or disengaging the lock mechanism. the cylinder turns and the button pushes in, but the lock will not engage, or disengage. anyone have experience with this? 2004 cl600.

You really have to push it. It's no easy task.

believe me i have pushed it numerous times with the key turned and no joy. a mercedes tech couldn't open it with the key either.
