start to smell fuel when car idles for to long, inside and outside. cls55
so i started to notice a smell of fuel the last few days, especially when i idle for a bit it will start to seep into the car, as well as out side. I know its form the outside because my furnace is in my garage area and it pulls air from the garage and then into my place. also if its idling for a bit and i step out you can smell it. wtf is going on? no CEL though.

does it smell from exhaust, from outside rear or engine compartment?
exhaust - run a can or two of chevron techron. if that does not fix it- it could be many things - leaky injectors is usually the culprit
outside rear - gas tank/ cap/ lines/ fuel filter might be leaking. have the car on a lift and use your nose.
engine compartment - fuel rail/ hoses., remove engine cover and use your nose.
