Hello:
I am sure other owners have encountered this.
Do you have to replace the whole front bumper on a CL55 AMG if its damaged underneath by a parking curb?
I seemed to have parked on a parking curb that had one of the metal iron bars sticking out of it a good way unknownst to me and it acted like a knife against paper and cut a nice gash underneath the front bumper.
I assume its better to have this repaired then making an insurance claim and I assume that a body shop would do this? Or is the bumper replacement easy enough for a independent Mercedes mechanic shop to handle? I have had my grill replaced at the shop I use etc along with complete ABS system replacement, I imagine the bumper cannot be harder then the ABS system.
Any advice or known costs? Thank you!
