W215 CL55 AMG
AMG w215 fog lights

I have been searching forums for answers with possible solutions but I'd like to make sure by asking directly for your help.

The amg CL's have different fog assembly/bulb sizes than the standard CL's if I'm correct. I hear standard have h7 and amg has 9006. I looked on sylvania bulb replacement refrence and it says 9006 for both models which has me confused. Of course I can verify for myself but right now I'm extremely busy with work and would like to save time by installing new bulbs all at once if I'm doing the work accessing fog lights.

Also if anyone is familiar with converting to HID fogs - is there any modifications to fog assembly I should be aware about such as drilling holes in fog light covers for wires from bulbs to ballasts or room issues for ballasts to be mounted... Etc.

Any reviews on led fogs vs hid from users who've used both?

I bought some cheapy fog replacements because i wanted to see what 6000K would look like for all of my front lights (head, parking and fog) and i ended up keeping them

They come with the ballast and don't throw up any codes

I got them on eBay for around $30 shipped and they have been great, not as practical for foggy nights but they look much better

The bulb type for the CL55 is HB4 not to be confused with H4 (which i did when i originally ordered them)

HB4 should be the same as 9006

I have 9006 in mine. Very easy to install and mount.

Can you possibly post a picture with your headlight and foglights on to see how they look now?

Also, did it throw any error codes yet or at all?
