Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
CL63 perhaps? Couple of general questions for owners.

Christmas season is here, so maybe it's time I spoil myself a bit?

I've noticed prices of the 08/09 CL63's have become very reasonable lately. There are quite a few good picks with 30-55k miles for $40-55k. Pretty good bargain if you ask me. The other contender on my list is the 07-09 M6 coupe. I borrowed the 07 M6 from my dealer yesterday for a Denver run. It's pretty comfy for a newer BMW. Definitely more of a drivers car than a 5000lb MBZ, but then again a Mercedes is a Mercedes...and it just doesn't get any better than that.

How happy are you with your CL63's? Is it worth holding out for one with the performance package? How is the ABC system? Are there any specific options to look for?

Cheers,
Ricky

The 07-10 models came with the NA 6.3 motor. The perf package only gets you forged wheels, CF engine cover, and top speed raised to 186mph with the 07-10 models.l If you could find an '11, which is the year they started putting the biturbo motor into the CL you'll have way more fun than a NA 6.3 car. And the PP on the 2011-2014 cars is off the charts.

NA 6.3. 518hp, 465lb ft
Biturbo. 536hp, 590lb ft
Biturbo perf package, 563hp, 664 lb ft

couple of Benzos
I would not put a W216 nowhere near a M6, you can compare the bimmer to the W215 that being said the choice should be clear

Hi, I just put up a thread to sell mine, I bought it last year and never drive it. I think its time to part with her so I posted a thread to test the waters. I do not have the performance package on mine however, the color, condition and mileage are great hence the reason I bought the car.

Thanks for the tip on the biturbo 5.5's. I honestly didn't give them any thought previously, but your post inspired me to look into them. What in the heck I'm missing out on! In stock form people are seeing over 500 horsepower at the wheels (for comparison my TTV12 S600 is only making 530whp and 600wtq).

Before I go launching off into V8 turbo-ville, I am determined to own an M156 6.2L car. I think that needs to be a CLK BS. I have yearned for one of those for years. Other options? I don't much care for the styling of the C63 BS (IMO, the coupe C class is ugly ). The regular C63 interior leaves something to be desired. If I were to buy a W221, it would be an S65. The SLS doesn't do much for me on any level. So, that leaves me with the CLK BS... In the meantime, I'm having fun with the V10 M6 I just picked up.

Cheers,
Ricky

Beautiful car. Do you know what the color is called? It's stunning.
