Paddle shifter install help!
Hey guys. First time post here. My cousin has an S600 which lead me to buy these beauties.
On my 2002 CL55 I'm trying to install paddle or button shifters. 2002 CL AMG cars did not come with them. So far I got:
SCM Pin 14 to the electronic selector module pin 4
SCM Pin 13 to GROUND
Steering buttons are plugged in to the steering column module (SCM).
In star SDS under actual value, I operate the button for downshift it thinks Im activating the KICKDOWN button instead of the paddle shifter. Therefore I know the wiring is good, but it is getting the wrong command when the downshift or upshift button is activated.
I read somewhere more hardware needs to be changed but no one ever clarified which hardware and what coding needs to be done specifically.
