Untrue it can cause various damage, 1st is premature turbocharger failure, 2nd if you tighten too much prepare to open your wallet.. I've done it w/help of a forum member over phn, very simple once you see what your adjusting, but it will ultimately shorten life of turbs. I'm ok w/that as I plan to upgrade to GT30's whenever Marcin releases them...

Understood. K24 Borg Warners arent known for their longevity. MB shouldve stuck a pair of Mitsubishi TD04HL-15G turbos in there instead.

The best scenario would be he tightens the wastegates .5 (half) a turn and goes for a drive. He mats the throttle, car feels strong off the line and then BOOM wakes up at 3.5k rpm and stays strong to redline!
Other scenario would be the car wakes up at 4k rpm and stays strong til redline, most likely this is how the car will react to any adjustment (.5-3 turns).
Lucky if you get it to come strong at 3500rpm.

I wouldnt do any more than 3 turns max if the first 2.5 turns dont do squat.

If a half turn does that (3500rpm spike) then i'd leave it at that setting.

LMAO holy run on sentence! But I agree with every word. OP's and i'm sure your car are 10 second rockets. What do these new AMGs do? I've lost interest in MB after '06.

Well I have a Z06 but I might sell that one as well and get into another German. Not sure what yet, but I will keep you guys posted. My Z is a pretty crazy build as well, and goes 9.4 as a street car

Now that would fit the original statement if it were of German decent, that's a fast *** car my friend Basement 9's is no joke esp a manual driven rig that takes skillzz..

Last picture of the CL looks great! You could prob just pop the hood on the cl and melt all the snow around it.....That's the zo6 that was for sale on the vette forum 3mos ago-9.4@147 not bad, it was tough to pass up for the price. No sale on the 600? It took me a year to give away my 05 for $18k.....

I have all my parts including motor already laying on the side to do a crazy turbo build on the Z, however an opportunity came up on a Viper and I might go that route and go boost as well on that. We will see what happens, still not sure of what is next.

I hope to see this car go to another level. I will update you as soon as car is back at the shop getting a final peak before you come get it. I will miss this thing very much. I walk by it every day now since its at home and always think if Im doing the right thing.

Not sure what is next for me but I was thinking about building a Twin Turbo Viper.

All the mods w/install labor etc would take double to double & 1/2 your buying price to reproduce, if you were to try & do this after JUST buying a STOCK comparable mileage/condition cl600.. My old CL65 with 10.5" wide rears with 305's. No spacers. Just money fitment. No fender rolling either.
