Car at Speedriven :) More mods for the season
If you dont have a boost gauge it would be tedious to get a feel based on butt dyno.
Thank you.
Juha
Start small, adjust .5 (half) turn then go for a drive, keep adjusting until you are satisfied. I wouldnt do more than 2-3 turns(adjusting too much will cause boost to taper off rapidly at redline, I havent heard of this method causing engine damage back when I had my turbo car tho)
Best results will be seen if you have a boost gauge to see where it spikes and how long it holds before boost tapers off.
If you dont have a boost gauge it would be tedious and risky gas wasting driving to get a feel based on butt dyno.
lol a base non AMG cl600? even w/its mod list (mine is an SL600 v12 biturbo w/far larger list of perf mods & HP, I wouldn't consider it ANYWHERE close to the best Benz has to offer in acceleration) The newer Mercedes AMG'S lightweight ALL aluminum chassis coupled to latest higher revving Direct Injection V8 biturbos w/superior 7 speed MCT tranns (vs our 5 speed snail speed shifts w/super tall lame 2.65 gears) The new ones come w/optional Carbon Ceramic brake systems etc or the SLS or new GT series w/Torque tube CF Driveshaft w/blindingly FAST DCT tranns etc etc vs our ancient 5 speed slush box whales that weigh 4500-4800lbs w/ancient heavy steering tech & ABC Hydraulic suspension more suited to a low rider hardly the Best Benz has to offer in acceleration lol.. I still love my SL but know what it isn't..

The best scenario would be he tightens the wastegates .5 (half) a turn and goes for a drive. He mats the throttle, car feels strong off the line and then BOOM wakes up at 3.5k rpm and stays strong to redline!
Other scenario would be the car wakes up at 4k rpm and stays strong til redline, most likely this is how the car will react to any adjustment (.5-3 turns).
Lucky if you get it to come strong at 3500rpm.
I wouldnt do any more than 3 turns max if the first 2.5 turns dont do squat.
If a half turn does that (3500rpm spike) then i'd leave it at that setting.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Put a deposit down, should pick up the car around the end of March once Kamil gets the title in hand.
I'll give you guys some more info on me when that happens, looking to continue the thread and build. See you all soon!
Not sure what is next for me but I was thinking about building a Twin Turbo Viper.
