washed my cl63 key.....what to do?

I put my key through the washer LOL. Before i go to the dealer for a replacement do you guys have any recommendations for a fix? It somewhat works, opens and locks the car but wont start. I took it apart and low dried it with a hair dryer on a cool setting. still wont start....

Try sticking it in the freezer for a couple minutes then take it out.

Open it and remove the batteries. Place in an uncooked bag of rice for 24 hrs.

Ok so as of this morning all I did was take it apart, dry it and put back together. It wasn't really working last night but this morning, all seems fine but it wont push start, not detecting the key. When I put the key in the ignition it does fire up. Im going to go get a spare just in case, but ill test this key again this evening and report back.

Key works fine this morning. Locks and unlocks the car and detects the push button start. All seems ok. I ended up ordering another just in case. Good to know you can put these through the washer and they still work!
