Questions regarding a possible CL63 purchase

I have been searching for a clean 2008 CL63/65. Found a certified 63 2008 with 65K miles at a Mercedes dealership. I took it for a test drive and noticed that the engine has a strange 'hum' (I previously owned an e63 and do not recall this sound so I know it isn't normal). I asked the sales person if it is possible to repair the car prior to purchase. I was told that since the car is certified, I would have to get the work done after I purchase it. This is a bit puzzling to me: If the car is certified, why wouldn't they fix it from the get go? My gut instinct is that something here isn't right and to walk away. I would appreciate some feedback from you guys.
Thanks!

Walk away no run away! I don't think a MB dealership can certified a 2008 due to is age & miles. Also way buy a CERTIFED car to have to have it repaired after u buy it. Keep looking !!

The buzzing is probably the ABC pump about to fail. That's about the right time they fail if the fluid wasn't changed regularly.

Good advice from canes85. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Humm is pump or probably pulsation dampener. They have an updated part now. Mine was buzzing and humming at idle and low speed.
