Hi all. Just poking around the internet, looking for information on the SL65 cars. How much should a guy pay for one, what to look out for, etc. There is a black on black 2006 SL65 at a local dealer, with 33,000 miles that I was looking at. They are asking way too much, $51,000. What do you all think one is worth today? I would also consider a nice CL65, or even a CL55/SL55, but the same thing, need to know what to look for, and their current value. Kind of funny, but just turned 50 years old, and have never owned a foreign car! I currently own a 2012 SRT8 392 hemi Challenger, a 2007 Jeep SRT8 6.1, and a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Viper truck. Just looking for a nice , fast, cool looking convertible or coupe, for the wife to drive on nice sunny days. Looking around, to me, it looks like a guy could get pretty good bang for the buck on a nice SL65? Way more sophisticated and faster than my Mopars?

starting in 05 or 06 I think the LX 'charger/magnum/300' platform share similar technologies with the mbz so your mopars are pretty much on par (minus turbo/sc). I had an 05 SRT10 truck and it just loved going sideways (too crazy).

check if coil packs have been replaced recently.
ABC system will fail at some point so set aside about 2k per year for maintenance
