Can anyone enlighten me as in how much maintenance $ I'm gonna have to spend? I do the basic oil/transmission fluid change in my garage. How are the transmissions and how long do they last in the CL55 AMG and any electrical issues?

I want this car SO BAD!@!# I just heard so many horror stories with Mercedes in general and also with this particular model.

I have absolutely ZERO problems with my Lexus SC430 and currently have 213k miles. I was wondering if the CL55 can do the same...

great choice your going to love the change, if you treat the Benz with love it will show you love its more demanding than the Lexus thats for sure

Working for lexus dealer years ago and now owning a shop that works on Mercedes. There is no way even the worst Lexus will need as much repair as the best Mercedes. Mercedes will need way more. It's just true. Lexus is better built but mercedes is better engineered. Though those SC430 are so flexy that they do rattle more then any other lexus so the ride quality will be better in the CL.
