Car is driving very sluggish and is sputtering on freeway.. HELP

Car is driving very sluggish and is sputtering on freeway.. HELP
So my car is at 160k miles now and it has just been giving me headaches. I notice whenever I press on the gas pedal, it feels very sluggish like its not getting anywhere. I feel the car has a stumble in first and second so I changed out my fuel filter hoping the stumbling will go away but it hasn't. On the of that, lately when driving on the freeway the car sputters like its about to shut off. I would have to let off the gas and be very easy on the pedal for it to stop and not sputter. I notice it would happen when Im driving hard like smashing. I don't know whats going on, the check engine light doesn't come on at all. Im changing out my spark plugs this weekend and new valve cover gaskets. I notice a lot of oil on my coil packs and spark plug wires. Hopefully changing the spark plugs and new valve gaskets will help? I also think the sputtering might be from dirty fuel injectors? If anyone has had this problem, please help. Im to the point where I just want to get rid of this car now even tho I know its not worth much anymore...
