Bad mattalic rattle cl55 need help diagnosing
Ok so I thought it was the supercharger tensioner and replaced that but no luck.
Today I took off the supercharger belt and ran the car and there was no mattalic noise. I can move the idler pulley and it does have play but when I run the engine it really sounds like it's coming from the supercharger itself. Any ideas on how to narrow it down for sure so I don't throw more parts at it?

Update - today I replaced the supercharger pulley bearing. Was a pia to do but doable for all us no nothings. Unfortunately it made no impacted on my bad rattle noise. It is definitely coming from the top front area of the supercharger. Now I'm leaning toward it being the supercharger clutch but I don't trust any of my guesses anymore. I REALLY would appreciate any help narrowing down the issue.

Thanks. I did check the other pulleys and they seem fine. When the car is running the noise is definitely coming from the front of the s/c. Here is what it looks like now when I spin by hand. This is with the brand new bearing.

May not be related, but have you changed the oil in the supercharger? (I know, this is not on Mercedes service list), but it easy to do.
When I did mine at 100,000 miles, a lot less came out than went in.
