bell ringing noise from left side of car

bell ringing noise from left side of car
hi, only when starting in the morning i get a ringing, buzzer like sound from the passenger side of the engine. it is like a ring ring ring for about 45 seconds then it goes away and doesn't return until the car is parked overnight and started in the morning. is this normal? and no it's not the seat belt chiming noise. it's actually seems to be coming from the passenger wheel well. very puzzling. as i said it only happens first thing in the morning for 45 seconds and never happens again through that day. can it have something to do with the abc system? pulsation damper? is this normal?

Check your air pump (emissions item).
If it were me, I would pull the relay for the air pump in the morning (in the drivers side engine fuse/relay box). Start the car and if the noise isn't happening, that's your culprit.
It will activate the check engine light however so you will need to be able to erase that code to turn it off :-)

It will only activate the check engine light if the air pump stops running during the initial warmup cycle.
I only thought about it because the air pump runs for about a minute upon start up when the engine is cold and is located on the left front area of the car.

adam, thank you and i believe you are correct. i've researched the pump and all indications are that your assessment is correct. i will do a bit more diagnosing and when, if the pump throws a code go from there, but will definitely check to see if the noise is coming from the pump, which i believe it is.
